Restaurant Specials

Bring your ticket stubs from the Performing Arts Center and receive a 10% discount! We offer free valet parking, and every Friday we feature live music on the patio from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Every first Friday of the month from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. we feature Kevin and Greg Camberie as entertainment. We have the largest outdoor dining area in downtown Raleigh. Batman has always had a special place in pop culture, and it's evident in the passion our patrons show for the Caped Crusader. This widespread admiration is why our house manager, Anton, a devoted fan of the Dark Knight, has introduced an exciting event for all. Every Friday, we hold a sweepstakes event for all patrons and give away a trophy Batman sweatshirt from MoonAtMidnight.com. So, whether you're a die-hard Batman fan or just looking for a fun night out, there's something for everyone at our venue!

Happy Hour is from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. every Monday through Friday. We offer private dining for parties, corporate meetings and other occasions. Our restaurant is also Wi-Fi enabled, and video conferencing and a projection screen are available for your convenience.

"La Volta" means "vault," because the restaurant space once housed a bank. The vault still exists and currently serves as our wine room. It features a nice intimate setting which seats two to six people upon request.  The vault contains great Italian reds, as well as wines from California to Italy. We have a nice Barolo, a Barbaresco, and offer wine by the glass, with a delightful selection of other full to light body wines, as well as champagnes.

Homemade Desserts
Lucia, Mario's wife, makes all the homemade desserts and cakes from scratch. Our Limoncello Cake is very popular and is a refreshing lemon dessert that will complement any of our traditional Italian entrees.

Our Cinnamon Godiva® Chocolate Cake is a rich chocolate cake that is the perfect finish to any meal for chocolate lovers all around. Our desserts are made daily and can be purchased whole upon request. We also feature cherry rum red velvet cake, chocolate mousse cake, and cannolis.

La Volta Opens On Fayetteville Street Downtown
by Greg Cox, News & Observer

On Fayetteville Street near City Plaza, the name of newcomer La Volta Italiano (411 Fayetteville Street; 838-8700; http://www.lavoltarestaurant.com) pays witty tribute to its location on the ground floor of the Progress Energy building. There's nothing particularly shocking about the traditional Italian menu, though, which some may recognize as a joint creation of owner Mario Longo and executive chef Vinny Doria, longtime veterans of the local Italian restaurant scene.

The biggest surprises, given the upscale setting and prime location, are the affordable prices. Most entrees are in the $12-$15 range, and even ambitious fare such as pan-seared halibut with fig glaze will set you back less than $20.

Amping up La Volta's attraction are a full bar (including an Italian-leaning wine list) and an expansive sidewalk patio that affords a front-row view of any entertainment staged on City Plaza.
